904 S. College Avenue Columbia, MO 65201

Over the bridge, yet not through any woods, Schurz is about a 10-minute walk from campus. While it is close, it's just far enough to be a real pain when you're running late or the weather is less than favorable.
Although the rooms, which come in either the single or double varieties, are a little on the small side, the hall has been remodeled nicely. Beds can be bunked and each resident gets a desk, small drawers and a closet. Roommates share a set of big dresser drawers. Bathrooms are community style and cleaned daily.
Internet is provided, but not wireless. Cable is provided in the lounges and in the rooms if you bring your own TV. However, the rooms are a little small to put a TV in—Hulu and Netflix on a laptop are probably a better deal.
Within the basement of Schurz is a sizable laundry room, and wait times for washer and dryers aren't usually an issue. The machines take quarters or student charge with an ID.
One perk of living in Schurz is that it's close to Plaza 900, which is arguably the best dining hall on campus. Also, if you're not in the mood to leave the hall, Baja Grill is in Bingham Hall, between Hatch and Schurz. For those who believe variety is the spice of life, Mizzou Market in Pershing Commons and Eva J’s dining hall are also a short walk away.
Schurz has many Learning Communities, so many of the residents on each floor know each other and are good friends. If you want to be sociable within the dorms, Schurz is a good match for you. However, be cautious, because every hall has a few crazy residents who could end up being your roommate.
