Johnston Hall

1100 E. Rollins Street Columbia, MO 65201-5154

Johnston Hall

Due for renovation in Phase IV of the Residential Life Master Plan, Johnston is obviously a bit dated. Fortunately for the ladies living on campus, as it is a female-only hall, it's centralized location and in-house dining hall make up for what it lacks in style. Its cost is middle of the way for a traditional style residence hall and much cheaper than any suite-style residence hall, except for Mark Twain.

The general atmosphere of Johnston isn't catty, as many would assume upon hearing it only houses women. Many of the FIGS and social activities are geared toward women and female empowerment. There's also a pretty equal ratio of Greek and non-Greek women.

It's close the Memorial Union, the Student Center, the Gaines/Oldham Black Culture Center and, of course, the Student Recreation Complex. It's also a straight-shot down Hitt Street to get downtown. Greektown is a bit of a walk, but definitely doable. The best thing about Johnston: location, location, location.
