If students are unsure whether they prefer to suite-style or community residence halls, Defoe-Graham Hall has the best of both worlds. This residence hall offers both traditional and suite rooms, and the location is arguably one of the best on campus.

Having just been renovated in 2009, Defoe-Graham's interior and furniture are relatively new. Each room comes furnished with bunkable and height-adjustable beds, desks, dressers and bookshelf. Kitchens are provided on each floor for those who still like cooking their own meals, and a laundry room is located on the first floor. Traditional rooms are also located on the ground floor, for those who hate to take the stairs or cramped elevators. All floors have lounges, but the ground floor lounge has been used for hall events and meetings, which can get a bit loud for the ground floor rooms located across and next to the lounge.

Defoe-Graham has been graced with an excellent location on campus. Outside the main entrance, just a few steps away, is the Student Recreation Complex. This leaves no excuse for the lazy to not get out and exercise. Outside a back stairwell entrance is a 30-second walk to Mizzou Market, which includes a large computer lab with printing. The Mizzou Market includes a Subway, which is a popular attraction around lunchtime.

For dining options other than the market, Eva J's is just across the street, with Plaza 900 not far behind. The MU Student Center's food court is also about a three-minute walk away.

For traditional and suite-style residence halls, Defoe-Graham is on the more expensive side of the spectrum, which can be a major downfall to those who are looking to save money. But if location is more of a preference, Defoe-Graham is definitely worth the price.
